Mind Vitality is built senior-first, which means accessibility isn’t an add-on — it’s the starting point.

Our target

We’re building to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That’s our honest target, not yet a claim of full compliance — see "where we’re still working" below.

What’s built in today

• Text is at least 18px everywhere by default, with a text-size control (A / A+ / A++) on every single page that remembers your choice.
• A high-contrast dark theme, checked to keep readable contrast in both themes.
• A "skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
• Large touch targets (at least 48 pixels) throughout, including inside puzzle grids.
• Every puzzle is playable untimed, with hints available, clear instructions shown before you start, and a "Learn from it" explanation panel at the end.
• Animations respect your operating system’s "reduce motion" setting.
• A persistent, plainly labeled navigation menu on every page — no hidden menus, no icon-only buttons anywhere on the site.
• A visible focus outline for keyboard navigation on every page, including printed puzzle sheets.
• Today’s puzzle keeps working if you lose your connection after opening it once.

Where we’re still working

We’ve run a structural review of labels, headings, keyboard reachability, text size, and tap-target size across the site, and fixed what it found. We’ve also run an automated axe-core scan of every public page, which found no serious issues. What we haven’t done yet is that same automated scan on pages you only see once signed in, or a manual pass with a screen reader — that work is actively in progress, ahead of our first public launch. We’d rather tell you that plainly than claim a compliance level we haven’t verified.
